Used sheets collected from Hampton by Hilton İzmir Aliağa have been transformed into various user-friendly products in collaboration with Loading Bag. These products have been offered to hotel guests as sustainable promotions. Product Features: • Material: 100% Upcycled Hotel Sheets (Cotton) • Dimensions: Width 30cm, Length 71cm • Weight: 83 grams • Accessory: YKK CIFC-56 green-F 100% Recycled Nylon Zipper with TIP 5 Closure Environmental Impact: • Carbon Emission Reduction: The production of each bag reduces carbon emissions by 0.38 kg/CO2e. • Water Conservation: Each bag saves 15.69 cubic meters of water. • Energy Savings: 2.86 MJ/kg of energy is saved during production. • Total Impact: With the production of 50 pieces, the daily carbon emissions of 1,880 trees have been absorbed, and 78,450 cups of water have been conserved. Alignment with Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs): SDG 5 (Gender Equality): • Women's Employment and Empowerment: The project involved local women in the workforce and provided them with opportunities for economic independence. This process allowed women to develop professional skills and take on significant roles in the textile industry. This promoted responsible consumption and production practices. SDG 13 (Climate Action): • Carbon Footprint Reduction: The repurposing of materials used in the project significantly reduced the carbon emissions that could have resulted from producing new products. This was considered a crucial step in combating climate change.
