The PVC-coated fabrics used in the electrical panel of the Hampton Aliağa Hotel, which are no longer in use, have been upcycled by Loading Bag into makeup bags. The goal of this project is to promote sustainable consumption and to repurpose waste materials. Product Features: • Material: 100% Upcycled PVC-coated fabric • Dimensions: Width 6cm x Height 6cm, Length 23cm • Weight: 22 grams • Accessory: YKK VSC-56 Green 100% Recycled Zipper Environmental Impact: • Carbon Emission Reduction: The production of each bag reduces carbon emissions by 0.07 kg/CO2e. • Water Conservation: Each bag saves 0.44 liters of water. • Energy Savings: 0.16 MJ/kg energy is saved during production. • Total Impact: With the production of 200 units, the daily carbon emissions of 9 trees have been absorbed, and 373 cups of water have been conserved. Alignment with Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs): SDG 12: Responsible Consumption and Production • The production achieved by repurposing waste materials has reduced the amount of waste and enabled more efficient use of resources. The project has made significant progress in reducing environmental footprints and improving waste management. SDG 13: Climate Action • During the repurposing processes, production was carried out with minimal energy consumption and carbon emissions, thereby contributing to the fight against climate change. The projects include concrete steps toward reducing the carbon footprint. SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals • These projects were implemented through the collaboration of businesses from different sectors and civil society organizations. Cross-sector partnerships serve as examples of large-scale sustainable initiatives and play a key role in achieving sustainable development goals.
